I love this recipe; because it’s such an easy alfredo sauce to make. I’ve used the keto lifestyle for a number of years. I tend to lean more low carb/keto even when I’m technically on a weight loss journey.
Over the years, I have developed recipes that are my staples. On days when I don’t feel like staying at the stove and making alfredo sauce the normal way, this is the recipe that I use. It seriously takes less than two minutes to prep and cook this quick alfredo sauce. It’s so easy that my daughters used to make this for me on days when I wasn’t feeling well. It’s so easy that anyone can make it.
I prefer to make a DIY alfredo sauce and spaghetti sauce because it allows me to control the ingredients that go into the sauce. I will say for the parmesan cheese, I use a wedge and shred it myself. I prefer to use blocks of cheese because they do not have a coating to prevent them from sticking. Using block cheese reduces the unnecessary carbs.
Also, feel free to substitute the garlic powder and dried parsley with fresh ingredients. I used the dried spice because it cuts down on time.
In my full recipe, I use the Fettucine Shittake Tofu Noodles. I normally find them at my local international grocery store. Unfortunately, my local Walmarts only carry spaghetti noodles. You may have to check with your local international market if you can find the noodles at your local major chain stores.
Easy Alfredo Sauce
- 2 tbsp Cream Cheese
- 2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp Butter, salted
- 3 - 4 tbsp Heavy Cream
- Pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Parsley, dried
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave for 30 seconds.
- Stir. Continue microwaving for another 30 secs.
- Pour into pan with noodles or pour over the desired item
